This weekend I went Puerto Jimenez with the Tico fam. The lowlands, baby! The last two days I have been in Corcovado National Park. The first day I hiked over 20 km. and saw a bunch of spider monkeys; spider spiders; spider macaws; two kawakis (not sure on that name), which are large black rodents with curly tails; a lil' baby snake; and hella geckos. I shared my taxi-truck back to town with rich English high school girls, one of whom had traveled so much that she had become so jaded at the ripe-old age of 16 not to think Corcovado was that good of rainforest because it wasn´t as crazy silly different as the Amazon. Anyways, I, having no Amazonian comparison to devalue Corcovado, thought it was freaking great. Now I'm back in Agua Buena, and many gringos have left. I guess that will force to chill it with the loc-dawgies more, thereby enhancing someting or other. ¿¡Where's my guaro, dammit!?
