[RL - Dante, Vergil, and Lady]

((Due to time constraints of epic plot, and time zones, this fight takes place immediately after this one, which is still ongoing. ^^;;))

Dante's been in better shape; his clothes are shredded and soaked in blood, and his steps are heavy as he crosses the ruins. Not only is he beaten, he's furious -- Kadaj is still alive. Dante's ready to blow ( Read more... )

Vergil appears from around the corner, don't ask why he was in the dead city hanging around ShinRa. He smirks and looks at Dante, "You're injured."

Dante stops dead, staring at Vergil like he's seen a ghost. Then he shakes his head sharply, and pulls his gun. "What do you want?" he snaps.

Dante chuckles without humor. "Nice try, kid, but--"

He ducks under both swords, breaking the deadlock -- and then he swings his weapon at Vergil's knees.

Vergil jumps over Dante to the back, swinging Yamato with him; then, turning on his heel and pressing the blade against Dante's back.

"Do you believe me now?"

Dante jerks away from the blade, ignoring how it cut through leather and skin. He'd bled enough today that a little more didn't matter.

"Glad to see you're enjoying yourself," Dante said, ignoring Vergil's question. He grabs both handguns and starts shooting.

Vergil runs just barely ahead of the bullets; surely by now Dante must have realized that no human can do that.

"I'm having a blast, it's been a while since we bonded."

Dante tracks Vergil's movements, but doesn't move to attack again. He's measuring the guy up. "Funny how I didn't miss it," he says.

Vergil moves into a battle stance, sheathing Yamato and placing his hands on the hilt.

"I'm hurt."

"Why don't you come over and see for yourself," Vergil flexes his hand, waiting for Dante to charge.

Dante's not sure who this kid is, and even if he was Vergil Dante would have no clue what he wanted. But he knows that he's not going to let Vergil call the shots, so he doesn't move forward. He waits.

"Nah, I'll pass," he says. "You see, I'm kind of shy, I think I'll wait for you to make the first move."
