Jude is not hiding. Jude is not avoiding certain people, nor is he avoiding thinking about certain people. Just because his door is closed and he's been playing Gears of War for the last two days and is wearing his hat that supplies him with a constant stream of cream soda means absolutely nothing.

In conclusion, not hiding.

Nadia was wandering around after her meeting with Dr. Pevensie, looking mostly for a distraction. She happened by Jude's room. "Hey, Jude, how's it going?"

Jude turned away from the game, his hands on the controllers slipping and sending a laser tag for the Hammer of Dawn right onto "his" foot. "Hey, bra," he greeted her mellowly, only to be distracted by the screen exploding. "Aw, geeeeez, I was like ten seconds from the checkpoint, too . . ."

"Eeesh. Sorry, I didn't mean to make you lose. I just haven't seen you around much."

"Nah, sorry," Jude said sheepishly, chucking the controller to the side. "Not your fault. And yeah, haven't really been around much. What's up?"

The temptation to just sit around and wait for their paths to cross again was strong, but, well, that whole...passive thing had gotten Chad into this mess, in his mind, and having it looming over his big shoulders was going to drive him crazy. Best approach it like he does his battles: charge in, hope it doesn't hurt too much, and then just try to shake it off.

Later that night, Chad knocked lightly....even lightly for him...on Jude's door.

"'S open." Jude was back to fun with chainsaws and the 'explicit content' feature, sprawled on his bed on his stomach with his feet on his pillow.

Opening the door, Chad couldn't quite bring himself into the room right now, choosing instead to lean on the doorframe, looking over at the TV screen. "Hey..."

"Oh. Hey." Jude paused the game and tossed the controller aside, looking over at him. He had tensed up as soon as he realised who was there, and was almost wishing he wasn't in a cast. Retreat was so much easier, even if he was blocking the door.
