New students and stuff were tiring. Jude flopped into bed and reached for the painkillers. He really couldn't wait until this stupid cast was off, but at least this time he wasn't running into everyone on his board. Just tripping over them.

He was just going to lie here for a while.

Jude poked his head up, a grin spreading across his face. "'Suna! You're back!" He swung his legs off the bed and held out his arms.

"Thank God," Setsuna said with a sigh, but she still maintained her small smile and drifted over to give him a light, slightly tentative hug. "How's the leg?"

Jude hugged her back. "'S good. I can kinda walk again but I overdid it today so it's kinda sore." He tugged her down beside her. "How was the trip? You totally left me hanging here."

"It was long," Setsuna admitted, blushing a little at the closeness, mostly because she was thinking of what Ranma might think of it. "Very long. But it was nice. Tokyo with the twins? Yeah. You know it's going to be crazy. I didn't miss anything good here, did I?"

"Hmm . . ." Jude considered. "Nah. I kinda slept through most of the time. Almost missed New Year's, too. And there was . . ." Jude trailed off and shook his head. "Nevermind, nothin' really important."

Setsuna arched an eyebrow. "Was what? Now who's leaving who hanging? I know you can't spend a week away from this place and not miss something."

"Eh, there was something with Chad," Jude said sheepishly, lifting a shoulder in a half-shrug.

"...Something?" Setsuna figured it had to be something good, or else Jude would seem more harshed that this. "Like what? Are you guys, um....together now?" She hoped that, when she asked, she didn't sound too uncomfortable with the idea.

"Um . . . kinda. Ish." He scratched the back of his head. "He's kinda dating Teddy. Too." Jude sounded a bit confused by this.

It didn't particularly help Setsuna's confusion that Jude himself was confused. "Wait. Did I hear that right? He...he's dating...both of you?"

Setsuna frowned, turning slightly away as she looked down slightly and tried to wrap her brain around that. Technically, it was a very simple thing: Jude was dating Chad, but Chad was also dating Teddy. But just because it was simple didn't mean she understood it. Then again, she never really could ultimately wrap her mind around Jude just being interested in Chad...

Her frown deepened. She didn't know quite to say.

Jude lifted a hand and patted her lightly on the shoulder. "'Sokay, bra. We've figured it out, kinda. I mean, I'm not totally cool with it but I can really give it a try."
