74th Hunt [Video]

[Dean flips on the video as he's emerging from building 7. He looks rough, unshaven, exhausted and dirty. He is tired, exhausted and ready for a shower but he's grateful in some ways to be back. He didn't find any of the answers he wanted, just more questions so on the whole, while he's glad he went, the trip was largely unsatisfying.]So we're back

[She just kind of wants to tuck him into bed and let him sleep as long as possible then make a big meal for when he gets up. Maybe he'll let her.]

I'm here. Do you want me to come pick you up?

Of course it's not too much trouble. I'll be there soon. [The look on her face says anything she does for her kids is never trouble before it turns off.

About ten minutes later she pulls the Impala up as she'd recognized where he was. Not only is the car in the same working order he'd left it in but it's also completely and utterly clean, minus a few details. Cleaning the car had been stress-relieving for her and she'd taken a vacuum to it though she'd left all of the little memories of the boys' childhood alone. Once Mary had put the car in park she steps out.] You look exhausted.

[While he's waiting for her, he sits down on the curb, getting to his feet slowly when he sees the Impala.]

I think I could sleep for a week. [He's got his duffle bags with him. The one filled with weapons is still pretty heavy but the other one, the one that held ammo, is empty. He walks over to the back passenger side and tosses the bags into the backseat.]

Car looks good.

If you do I'll be calling a doctor to put you on an IV. [There's a bit of teasing to her voice as she watches him put his bags into the car. Dean may want to drive his car after being away or he might be too tired to even think of it - either way she'll let him decide.]

Well she's been sitting in my garage for two weeks and I thought she could use a good cleaning. I'm glad you're back. [Safe and sound.]

As long as they don't wake me up doing it. [He's too exhausted to appreciate driving the Impala anyway so he'll let Mary drive for the moment. When he's done tossing things in the back he turns around and hugs her. It's not one of the hugs where he picks her up off her feet. Too tired for that.] Yeah. Me too. I'm glad you're still here.

I'll be sure they're stealthy about it. [Good, then he'll be too exhausted to argue with her about going to her house instead of his apartment to sleep so she can make him a big meal when he gets up. She doesn't expect him to live with her but Mary does have a room made up for both of her boys if they ever wanted to stay over. As for the hug, she doesn't mind not being picked up but returns it fiercely one hand petting the back of his head reassuringly.] I'm always with you, Dean.

[It takes him a moment before he gruffly says] Thanks, Mom. [He lets her go and moves over to get in the passenger seat of the Impala.]

[When the hug is done she watches him move to the passenger side and moves to slide into the driver's seat. She starts the engine and pulls into the street.] See anything interesting out there?

There was this sea monster...I fired everything I had at it and didn't make a dent. We managed to outrun it.

[angelsrwatchng]

[Frowning at that.] We'll have to do some research on it if anyone wants to try to go out there again. For now you need rest and food.

[dude_imbatman]

I know. [and then a hopeful grin] You making pies?

[Not that the rest of everything she cooks isn't amazing but Dean has a special relationship with pie.]

[She smiles at him.] I did say I would make pies for your return.

[Mary's got all the stuff to make several pies. And she was considering grilling hamburgers while the weather was still nice.]

[dude_imbatman]

You're my favorite, Mom. [He grins at her. He'd be totally down for grilling some burgers. Fire is awesome.]

[angelsrwatchng]

I hope I'm your only mom. [She reaches over and playfully ruffles his hair. Everything will be ready for grilling when he gets up.]

Well I've got a couple lined up the next City over but you're still my favorite. [Teasing, yeah.]
