(no subject)
I decided I would post, for the sole purpose of allowing people to know that, yes, I am still living. I think the last time I posted was sometime around November. It's been crazy busy right up til the first week or so of January, and then our modem died. Hopefully some good comes of this incident, a better internet connection at home would be greatly apprieciated.
Work has been pretty busy. Every day through the Christmas season seemed to be crazier and crazier. I'm glad it's over. I did get quite a few days off while my sis and Chad were in town for the holidays, but unfortunately I didn't wash my hands quite freqently enough to avoid having the Norovirus and spreading it to everyone in the family just in time for Christmas. Fortunately everyone got better just in time for Kelly and Chad to head back home.
Everything has been kinda weird since Christmas, the last Mastercraft stores closed, my long promised "great health benefits package" kicked in, and I worked a few days with Dad and Jack on a deck. Except for my insurance benefits being pretty shitty for someone with a chronic illness such as myself, it feels like a lot more is going right than ever before. I'm up for a raise at the end of March, and am set to assume the position of senior co specialist. My coworker called me this morning to tell me that he put his house on the market last week and then my boss called to tell me that he has scheduled me for an extra weekend (which I truly do hate at this point) because he needed someone to count accurately the last weekend of the fiscal year.
2nd semester is almost here, so I am feeling up and ready for my internship program which is getting ready to start. My first choice is going to be MoCo, 4d. I still haven't been able to reach anyone with information about who to see to make sure my choice is approved. I will be going later to see what's up with that.
