(no subject)
So I just got back from California. And it was awesome, like usual. Hung out with Mandy and played board games for a few days. Then got to go to the zoo and see Jackie for the first time in about six years! It was wonderful! And I got to meet people but not all the people I wanted to meet. Also, made the decision to stop making excuses and go vegan. Baby steps? I'm reading Vegan Freak and its like "Do it NOW ALL AT ONCE." and I'm like "Cheeeeeeseeeee." Spent a few hours at the bay area anarchist book fair. It was neat. I liked the cross-over of queer, punk, and vegan culture with anarchist culture. And I got a copy of the SCUM Manifesto and I'm reading it and its 99% insanity and 1% genius. You go like 5 pages of hatred and then there will be one paragraph that's like "WAIT, JUST SAY THIS AND NOTHING ELSE."
So, overall, it was great. Had about five depression and anxiety free days and then I crashed pretty bad last night and its back to normal.
OH! And I totally found out that coconut rum is the best liquor ever.
Um, what else? We went to the Albany Bulb and I really liked it. It was the first outdoorsy thing I've done since I was a kid. Lots of graffiti art and a nice clash of metal and nature. I really wish I had my camera because there was like a thousand awesome shots. Plus, puppies playing together on the beach!
