(no subject)
So break is over. Sad day.
Let's recap:
Friday was my birthday(thank you guys for an amazing birthday by the way!) and I skipped my morning class on the advice of Hailey saying "Taryn, it's your birthday, do you really want to be in class?" And I didn't. So I didn't go. But unfortunately that meant I had to wait around until 3pm to take a psych exam. I was going insane and couldn't study and walked into that exam thinking about how much I didn't want to be there. Pretty sure I bombed it and I still don't care. I'll get whatever grade I get and can't complain because it's the consequence of my actions of not studying. After I handed my test in, I rushed back to the dorm with Tim so we could pack up our cars. I was finally HOME FREE!!!!! I quickly packed my car and made the trek home in the snow storm and thought I was going to die. It was TERRIBLE. My windshield wipers were clogged with snow and weren't doing a very good job. Finally, I got home, had dinner, picked up Emily and Megan, stopped to see Jason because he missed me, got lost, and made it to TCNJ. We suprised Lauren when we got there by calling her friends and they let us in the dorm and hid us and the cake. Laura called Lauren and pretended she was really upset and when Lauren walked in the room all concerned about Laura, we yelled surprise and gave her the belated birthday cake Megan made. It was so cute. :-) And then Lauren said she had a cake for me too! We ended up just drinking and hanging out in Lauren's room, had a dance party, and stuffed our faces with cake. We also got a noise complaint because of our singing. Eventually, the night calmed down and we went to bed.
Saturday we slept late and then went and got breakfast. Mmmm. After, we went to the campus store, bought TCNJ clothes because we're cool like that then and then went on driving adventures to the grocery store for munchies and to Hollywood Video for movies. We got Waitress and Across The Universe. Unfortunately, ATU didn't work :(. Later on, we all showered, pregamed a little, watched youtube videos ("I'm fucking Matt Damon!"), and eventually left to go to the parking garage where the PhiAD Pledges were giving rides to the party. SU should do that :). They make the pledges be DDs during the parties to bring guests to and from the parking garages/dorms so there's no drunk driving. Such a good idea!! Anyway, so we caught a ride with a pledge named Rob and he took us to the house party where the jungle juice came out and the beer was flowing all night long. Meg and Laura and Lauren and Brian Toms started the flip cup table that lasted most of the night. The party was SO MUCH FUN. We took a ton of videos and pictures and it was just an all around amazing night.
Sunday morning we were all hungover. Well, I was atleast. We slept in and then went to get breakfast, but before I could eat I felt really sick from the vitamins I took and had to run to find a nearby bathroom with Lauren in which I threw up. After that I was fine. We ate breakfast and went back to Lauren's room and made more munchies like potato skins, watched Little People Big World and slept practically the whole day. We left by dark and got home. I ended up just hanging out in my basement watching movies and passing out.
Monday and Tuesday were relaxing. I hung out around the house, watched movies, and basically just relaxed. It was amazing. They were rainy days so it was needed.
Wednesday I got up early and went to Picatinny to have lunch with my dad and meet with my boss to talk about doing my externship there this summer and I can. :-) I cannot WAIT to go back to camp this summer. It is going to be so amazing, but not as amazing because we're getting a whole slew of new counselors. I hope I get a good coco and we have no problems, just like with me and Matt. We had no conflicts and the kids were amazing. After meeting with Arlene and lunch with daddy, I went to Roma's with Emily and we walked over to Electric Lotus to see Kelsi get her tattoo. Exciting :-). The incredibly cute tattoo guy helped me choose what my first tattoo will be; it's just a matter of placement that's the problem, but I'll get that sorted out eventually. Afterwards, I went home and hung out until it was time to go out to dinner with Viky. We went to MAC's Diner and just talked the entire time. It was so nice to just sit and talk and hang out with her. She really is the sweetest girl ever! I went to Kat's after dinner to see her, Natalia, Tim, and the puppies. The puppies are ADORABLE. I wanted to take them home with me!! I left around midnight because I was getting pretty tired.
Thursday I slept in late and then went shopping at Willowbrook with Megan. We went to Old Navy and Megan was able to talk me into getting this one tank top. It's pretty cute :-) but I was unsure of how it would look on me. After the mall, I hung out at home and then went to Kat's house to hang out for a while. We went to A&P on a whim and bought Ben&Jerry's icecream and made sundae's at her house. I left later on to go to my grandma's house. It was pretty fun. We made jalapeno poppers and watched CSI, Funniest Home Videos, and Will & Grace. It was a good night. :-)
I slept in til 11:30 on Friday, got up and my grandma made me an amazing breakfast of a bagel with butter on half and creamcheese on the other with jelly, pancakes, and bacon. It was sooo good. We went to Kohl's later on with her friend because there was a huuuuuge sale and I got a shirt to go with my nice black pants for whenever I need to do a dressy presentation, or initiation, or student teaching. After, we went to the Chinese buffet and also to see my Ti Ti La La (Tia Lydia-- I couldn't say "Tia Lydia" as a kid so it came out "Ti Ti La La" and the name stuck). Anyways, we went to go see her in the new nursing home she's in. It's an okay place, but she's happy there. She's more energetic now and seems to be adapting well and that makes me happy. Later in the night, I met up with my lovely coco's Siobhan and Kim and Mel. I hadn't seem Kim and Siobhan since August so it was SO NICE to be able to see them. We went to the movies to see Fool's Gold. Cute movie, hot Matthew. :-) Haha we ended up hanging out in front of the movie theatre just talking forever until Siobhan had to go. Kim, Mel, and I went to Starbucks after and got coffee and caught up with eachother and stayed until they kicked us out because they were closing. We went back to Mel's and had a fun photo shoot with our cameras, made food, talked ALOT while just laying in Mel's huge bed, and finally went to bed REALLY late (6am late.... I was the last one up).
Saturday, we woke up at 12:30, made brunch (bacon, egg, and cheese) sandwiches, and then Kim left. Mel and I hung out around the house, made brownies, and then found out her room was flooding because of the freaking monsoon thunderstorm that was going on outside. She had to wet-vac her room every 15min to make sure the water didn't get extremely bad. Finally her parents got home, we got dressed, and went to Vira's around 10. Vira's is always fun. :) Justin, my brother Adam, and Matt Sherman were also there. We talked and hung out and they smoked (Mike would probably shit himself if he found out I turned down good weed! Hahaha). We had fun with photobooth, watching Justin and Adam try to through the blueberries and blackberries (which were amazingly delicious by the way) into eachother's mouths. Vira's boyfriend stopped by and then Lauren came by around midnight. We surprised her with our 6th grade history project that Vira found. STARLINS, People of the North Star. HAHAHA It was SO funny to see her reaction. We ended up just hanging out in the kitchen, telling stories. The whole night was just so nostalgic. I loved it, every minute of it. Mel and I left around 2am with my brother and Justin. Dropped Justin off and we went home and made salsa dip and sour cream and ate chips and talked to my dad til about 4am. FINALLY went to bed by 4:30am.
Sunday morning, we woke up confused because of the daylight savings switch. We got ready, finished packing, and went to Paul's Diner and got brunch with Lauren, Emily, and Antares. It was wonderful and yummy. I got a taylor and cheese on a plain bagel and was so content and also sad that I was going back to SU. We said our goodbyes, I brought Mel home, and then drove the 2&1/2 hours to school and made it here at 3pm. I napped, got food with Hailey when she finally got here, visited people down the hall, unpacked, watched some Desperate Housewives, and went to bed.
Now it's Monday, and I've already had one class today. I skipped work today so I could study for a test I have tonight but obviously I'm on here and not studying. All the information I need is on Blackboard and it's server is down, which means no studying for me. I'll try again later I guess.
