I don't actually know why I'm watching the Oscars - possibly a holdover habit from three years of rooting for Lord of the Rings, probably because I'm a sucker for Jon Stewart. It's not because I have a huge stake in anything because I have seen the following movies this year Atonement, Transformers, Enchanted, The Golden Compass, Ratatouille and probably something I've forgotten. I have completely failed to see the majority of this years "Good Movies" due to me kind of being a hermit and also because most of them looked kind of depressing and I just don't need that. However, this does enable to wander around cleaning my room, fold my laundry, make fun of Amy Adam's dress on the phone with my mother and read the online blogs which are mostly more interesting then the show.

But seriously people, if I was going to attend the Oscars (which is as likely as George Bush moving to say, Fire Island), I would not be wearing the basic black thing every other actress seems to be working this year. Rhinestones all the way baby. I would absolutely not wear a matronly black number AMY ADAMS. Seriously, between that dress and the barren stage for her number I think everyone forgot "The Happy Working Song" was nominated. Which I can actually understand cause it's really kind of odd, but still.

Also, I tend to forget the awesomeness of various people, like Cate Blanchett and Helen Mirren and also Tilda Swanson who actually looked surprised at her award and yet pulled it together to mock George Clooney for Batman.

My Favorite Oscar Moment Ever - Jon Stewart playing Wii with the little girl from the Autumn Rush song. Hee.

Edited to add, My Favorite Oscar Moment Ever just got tied when Jon Stewart pulled out the woman who won best song and got cut off before she could thank anyone and let her give a lovely speech. Aw.
