I can't remember the last time I updated. Well, it probably wasn't too long ago... maybe a month? Anyway, I thought I would give it a go. Whats going on it my life...?

I start Chorus Line rehearsal next week which means I start at Sac State the week after. I'm kinda scurred. I wish I could go back to UOP or just go down to Fullerton now. But I need to lose about 50 more pounds before I give Fullerton a try. Speaking of which I started the South Beach Diet on the first of January and I've lost 10 and a half pounds so far. But its just the weight that I've been yo-yoing with for the past... 7 months? So, once I get to 20 pounds then it will be something. A lot of people think its stupid to do the SOuth Beach Diet, but I think it actually works. The whole thing that goes wrong with ALL diets is that people think of them like one. You know, "Once I lose my weight I'm going back to the way I used to eat." Well thats stupid. You have to change your life. So, thats what I'm doing. I haven't had a peice of bread, candy, pizza, french fries, any of the stuff for two weeks. I feel good. I still wish I could have some saltine crackers every now and then, but I get over it soon enough. Plus, the thing I like about South Beach is that there are 3 phases. THe first phase is basically like Atkinds, no carbs at all. That usually lasts for about 2 weeks, but you can do it for however long you want (I think I might do it for a month or so). Then the second phase you can add "good carbs" back in like whole wheat breads and pasta, fruit, small potatoes... stuff like that. It sounds good to me. And then I don't really know what the third phase is but you do that one after you've lost all of your weight. SO I probably won't get there until August or so. I'm going to lose 40 pounds... 50 if I'm lucky. I was reading this book called "Making it on Broadway" and its just a bunch of stories by current (or past) Broadway performers. There was one story that really stuck out to me about this girl who was 5'2" and 110 pounds and then she was cast as Belle's understudy in Beauty and the Beast. They wanted her to lose 10 more pounds. On Broadway if yo uare 5'2" you should weigh 100 pounds. I haven't weighed that since I was, like, 8. But well see how it goes. I'm pretty determined this time. PLus, one of the big things is that I am excersizing now. I'm taking all sorts of different classes at Step One: Step Aerobics, Cardio Kickboxing, Cardio Aerobis, Guts-Butts-etc. Its really great. 7 house of fitness calsses a week and then 6 hours of dance classes a week. I think that is making the biggest difference. I'm gonna do it this time. I can't wait!

WOW. Was that long and rambly or what! Well, anyway. I'm scared about starting at Sac State and the show because I have such a horrible time making friends. You know, its weird. THe only time I haven't had a hard time making friends was at SOlano. I got along with a large group of people there so well. Oh well. One of my New Years Resolutions is to be a better friend, so hopefully that will bleed over into my new Sac State life.

OH! kat, I got your message at like 4 o'clock this morning. I never got a phone call or anyhting just your voice mail. It was really weird. But, it was like 4in the morning and I was sleepin so I was just like "WTF?" and went back to sleep. Lets go see A Very Long Engagment soon... or whatevr its called.
