Thanks Kelly. that means scads and scads...and i'm almost certain that a scad is a great amount and not a word meaning something having to do with french pastries or something like that...=)
seriously though. I didn't care about not getting nominated until every girl in that show but me did...then i died a little inside. So thanx it really does mean the world to me.

Elly's are a Joke

There are several people and shows who I thought deserved to be nominated. There were a few who were nominated who I thought deserved it too. (Congrats on Smokey Joe's and RSP!) But seriously, I have never been impressed by the Elly's ever. After hearing the news yesterday about all the nominations, I seriously see why people call the Elly's a total joke. They are a joke and that's really too bad too. It turns them into more of just a paper-weight only for those who rub elbows with the SARTA people.

So you guys, please don't take anything personally by the Elly's (As I'm trying not to do). You guys totally rock and are really, really talented. I envy much of your guys' talent (And you guys are so young and have so much ahead of you --- that's rather talented-scary).

I think the Elly award looks more like a cheese plate or a trivet for hot kitchen things.

I did enjoy the Bee article with the quote "Therese Llanes, vice president of SARTA, said that the Ellys, now in their 22nd year, have a special and necessary place in the area theater scene."

If Sacramento didn't have the "necessary" Elly awards what would SARTA have to do all year?
