Aw, ducky-dear! *HUGGLES* I have been struggling to keep up online lately...been reading as much as I can, but not commenting. Just want to tell you, I love your comments and your posts..you're a GREAT DUCKLADY!!! *more hugs* I agree that "Santa" exists in many forms and most people get visits from "Santa" every year...you might not realize it. He comes in the form of smiles and kind "Merry Christmas" comments from strangers. In an unexpected gift - whether it's some homemade cookies, a paid electric bill, a bookmark with an inspirational saying or a new microwave - it's giving. Giving out of love. Sadly, this year, I have run out of time to do cards or mail them out...so, I feel kinda poopy about that cuz I love sending them, BUT I know that there are other ways to remind people of how special they are to me. :)
I think I was about the same age or a little older. I, too snuck out of bed and saw the adults doing the Santa thing. I wasn't bothered much at all as I remember. My parents were more disappointed than I was, and I can understand that. Seeing the joy of children on Christmas morning.
While I don't believe in the traditional Santa of of legend. I know his spirit shows up in the most unexpected and wonderful places.
