....All of the animals... they're acting so strangely. They're unwell, and as I am a duck myself I do not feel well either. The earth is shaking below us, explosions of strange light in the sky... are those... colors?

I want some answers; I always feel like I never know anything ( Read more... )

I don't like it either, Ahiru. Whatever it is...I doubt it'll turn out to be something good.

I'm sure it won't; though I feel very pessimistic... do I have a choice? It's not like anything extremely good has come out of the weird circumstances here.

No, I'm afraid not. And all we can do is hope for the best while we ready ourselves for the worst, I suppose.

It seems to be that way... maybe I'll stop by later; just in case something, er... terrible happens, I'll want to see you.

That'd be very kind of you, Ahiru, and I'd like that very much. Though in the event that things do get bad, please do stay in the Opera House as much as you can, won't you? It's one of the safest places that you can be, when there's trouble around the City.

Yes - for now, with the quakes, I'll stay in. Besides... Fakir would be very angry if I tried to move around without his permission or without letting him know... though I haven't seen him around today... that worries me quite a bit...

I imagine he's likely looking around the Opera House, making sure you have everything you need in case you need to barricade yourselves in for a few days. That's usually the prudent thing to do in times like this.

Still, have you tried asking Rue where he might be?

I haven't - I haven't seen her around either!

[She's incredibly panicked at this point, but is desperately trying to hold it in.]

Not her, either? Goodness! Well, er, where have you looked for them, may I ask?

I've wandered about the Opera for a little bit... it wasn't a peaceful quiet like usual, but an odd quiet... d-does that make sense?

It does, it makes perfect sense. And I don't blame you for feeling a bit...well, off-kilter today, either. But believe me, if there's anyone that knows how to take care of himself--or herself--in this City, no matter what comes, it's Fakir and Rue.

...Yeah, I-I guess. He's strong... and she's strong too.
