Tonight, the Phils play the Rays in game 5 of the World Series. The Phils are up 3-1 in the series, Hamels is on the mound, and it's our final game at home.
I am going crazy thinking about this. I really, really, really want to see the Phils win the World Series at home. I really want to see the fans in Philly get the chance to cheer their heads off, releasing the demons of 25 years of sports without a hometown champion.
I have some serious butterflies in my stomach. Thanks to daylight savings time kicking in a week earlier in Moscow than it does in Philly, I'm waking up at 3:30 to watch the game, instead of the 4:30 AM wakeup time that I had for gamedays through game 2.
