Quick update
Hi all,
My internet isn't yet up at the apartment (fucking PPP internet services SUCK!), but I wanted to stop by an internet cafe to let you know that I'm all settled in. As soon as we have real internet, I'll post pics of the apartment, which is generally awesome. The only downside is that we really don't have any beds. We have one not-so-comfy sofa, and one REALLY uncomfortable sofabed. We caved after 2 nights and went to this insane super shopping center by the IKEA and bought a 600 ruble mattress to put on top of the wood planks of the sofabed. Such is life.
Otherwise, though, things are great. We got a place that's less than a 10 minute walk from the Profsoiuznaia metro, near a few nice parks. We've spent the past few days running errands, buying supplies, etc., but I'll be starting my research on Monday. Hopefully I'll have internet (and skype) this week, and I'll be in better contact with the world.
Ok! Time's a-tickin' away on my cafemax time, so I'm off to check on the Phillies! Cheers!
