My family's moving to Pittsburgh!
My dad got a fancy new job (what I gather: no more OB/GYN, just bio research & access to tons of resources), so next year he'll get an apartment in Pittsburgh. My mom and my sister will stay in St. Louis next year so that Netta can finish high school there (she's now class of '08 instead of '09) and we'll sell the old house and move in to a new one the following summer. And in the meantime I'll have a Pennsylvania neighbor. My dad says "a six hour drive won't keep us apart!"
Also, apparently he's mentioned to the University of Pittsburgh people that his daughter is looking into philosophy grad schools, and strangely enough they seem to have a lot of opinions about where I should go. (Pittsburgh is one of the best grad schools for philosophy.) Too bad grad students don't get a gigantic discount just because their parents work at the university. (Too bad Pittsburgh would be the wrong place for me to study philosophy!)
