"The best proof of love is trust."
"A relationship is like a rose, How long it lasts, no one knows; Love can erase an awful past, Love can be yours, you'll see at last; To feel that love, it makes you sigh, To have it leave, you'd rather die; You hope you've found that special rose, 'Cause you love and care for the one you chose."
"We are all born for love. It is the principle of existence, and its only end."
"You will find as you look back upon your life that the moments when you have truly lived are the moments when you have done things in the spirit of love."
"The hardest of all is learning to be a well of affection, and not a fountain; to show them we love them not when we feel like it, but when they do."
"For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul."
"Life without love is like a tree without blossoms or fruit."
"Looking back, I have this to regret, that too often when I loved, I did not say so."
"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength; loving someone deeply gives you courage."
"To fear love is to fear life, and those who fear life are already three parts dead."
Love is a verb. “I love you” means so much. It means I trust you. I care about you. I would give my life for you. I’m giving you everything I have. Friendship is a form of love. It means almost the same thing. Romantic love can not exsist without friendship and friendship can’t exsist without love.
But what happens when a person loves too much. Gives everything they have to people and then watches them get hurt in relationships and never really sees the person who cares deeply for them. Friends seem to go unnoticed even though their love is what supports the person.
Romantic love is wonderful for those who find it but about people like me? I live off my friends. I love my friends. However with that love comes vulnerability.
“Loving somone means giving them the ability to destroy you but trusting them not to”
Do people understand this?
