I'd like to think I have a very interesting life. Today was one of those days where I knew very few people would ever experience what I was doing. It began at 6:00am when I had to wake up and get ready to walk over to Jonathan Kirk's house. We were off by 7:30 to his studio to load his crane truck to move two one ton granite sculptures out of some Woman's house in Dewitt. This consisted of moving a gantry inside, and try not to scuff, mar, damage in any way, the house, floor, or you know the few thousand dollar sculpture. By the way, these damn things looked like a big old chubby one, balls and all. Not really my favorite type of artwork. Four hours later the chubs were loaded on the truck, strapped in, and off we went to drop them off at a sculpture park. After we unloaded them, we noticed a little boo-boo, one of the sides of one piece had a ding in it from the steel truck bed while in transit. I love the fact that no matter how old you get, (Jonathan is 50) you still from time to time find yourself saying; "I didn't do it!"
Whatever, the woman was obviously wealthy telling from the house these things were in, so I guess we dodged the bullet on that one. Meaning, we still got paid. All in all, a ten hour day of faffing around with two stone chubby dicks got me a whopping $120 bucks. Sushi anyone?
