Quick Update
So, after much calling/emailing/pestering of various people I finally have a place to live up at MSU and have gotten all the classes that I need for the fall. I'm going to be living in East Shaw which I've decided is better than an apartment for a variety of reasons....one being that I am much more likely to go to class. :-)Also, it would make for an easier commute to practice over by the X-Lot. Practice? What practice? The Women's Rugby Team practice. I decided to join the Rugby team cuz I decided it would be a fun sport and something completely new and different. I've already done the whole bar scene and now with my lil bro being old enough to go to the bars, I'm not quite so sure I want to go.Although, this also means that I'll be missing out on football season, which is incredibly dissapointing. Hopefully there will be more evening than afternoon games played this football season so I can catch a good chunk of them. Anyways, we'll see just how well I survive playing Rugby first.
I'm going to have a packed schedule. I'm taking CEM 142, CEM 162, BMB 200, FSC 211, FSC 401, and FSC 402. Aka.....Chemistry of all kinds (Biochem, Food Chemistry, Oraganic and Inorganic Chem)
[O yea, I forgot to mention that I'm going back to MSU to pursue a 2nd degree in Food Science with a concentration in Food Packaging. This should broaden the whole job market and hopefully get me more experience in the form of an internship. Also, with this then I coudl do most anything in the food industry from designing/developing packaging to making new foods like new ice cream flavors. Best part is that it shoudl take me more than 3 semesters, since its only about 35 credits give or take a few.]
Plus Rugby is going to keep me even busier. I've got practice tues-fridays from 530-7 and then games every saturday.
Sadly though, this means that I can't partake in the Labor Day festivities up north.....unless magically I end up not having a game that sat or practice that friday. Either way though I have classes till 1220 on friday :-( At least Ive made it up north with Katie once this summer, so im happy about that. Chicago though....things keep coming up everytime I try to go. It's getting to be annoying and I really miss my Chicagoans. One day i will make it back out there.....although with Rugby, it wont be possible until after Oct/early Nov when the season is over.
That, pretty much sums up what's going on in my life at the moment. Well besides that I've been hanging out with Sunnie again lately and having a blast. I never realized how much I missed her. O and her friend Danny that has finally gotten back from Iraq. He is awesome! The last time I had seen him before now was New Years eve our senior year of high school cuz after that he joined the Army. But, now Im seeing them both on a fairly regular basis (considering its been like 2 weeks). This friday we're going to Stoney Creek park and having a bbq, playing beach volleyball, renting boats, and having a grand ol time. I'm so excited!
