I HAVE MY POWER BACK!!! It only took a week... Ive been so bored this past week it's ridiculous. But yesterday DTE was in my neighborhood and I literally pulled out a camping chair and a few beers and camped out in my driveway watching them work on my neighbor's houses. At one point I went and talked to this group of 8 very large muscley men that tried ignoring me. But, I walked right into the middle of their little pow wow and asked them when they were going to fix my house. Then as the day progressed I found the project manager guy sitting in his truck. I talked to him and he told me that I might have it by nighttime but more realistically it wouldn't be till the next morning. Well I accepted that and went back to my chair. Then I got bored an hour later and talked to him again. This time we chatted it up and he told me about his kids and that the crew hadnt eaten since the morning. I also asked him what kind of hours they were working. He then told me I looked strong and could help the guys move trees as they were cutting them down and that he wished he could hire me. I told him that Id gladly help if it would speed things up. Then he asked me about some pizza place. I told him I had never heard of it and then directed him to 2 other ones nearby. Also, I told him that I noticed the tree trimmer guys weren't really doing anything and wondered if they could at least trim some stuff in my yard. So he said hed talk to them and send them over after he fed them. Another went by and a tree trimmer guy walked up to me. I asked him if he was going to trim stuff and he told me that the Manager guy sent him there and told him that Id show him what needed to be done. That was really cool cuz it pretty much put me in charge. I showed him what needed to be trimmed along with a few other trees I decided he could do while he was up there. Then I had to leave for dinner though. And I let my mom know what was going on. Apparently after they trimmed stuff they just fixed our power at the same time rather than waiting to the next day (meaning they bumped me up 4 houses on the list...I know cuz the guy showed me the work order ;-) ) . That was a happy surprise.

I'll update about dinner a little later cuz lj is being dumb and only letting me type 2 words at a time.
