The perfect workday
I'm loving this whole new 'work from home' thing that I've got going.
It's rare that I do actually work from home. I tend to be out visiting branches all day, but today I took a day to myself to catch up on emails and paperwork. A mate of mine was off work too, so I took my lappy to his and spent a good 8 hours working, while watching baseball / movies, gorging on pizza, cheese, ice cream and fizzy pop. A productive and especially unhealthy day.
Then a quick visit to the pub on the way home.
And although I was just having fun all day I got a surprising amount of work done.
Anyway, just a quick fly past here to make a record of how I love my job so I can read it tomorrow when I've had a hell of a day. Thursday and Friday and gonna be hard. I've made appointments to meet the team at two of my trouble branches. They're underperforming and there are all sorts of issues that need resolving. Not good.
But, late Friday afternoon I'm hopping on a train to Reading for another softball camping weekend. I haven't really posted about the other two that I've been to, so I'll try to take pictures, etc, of this one. They are the best weekends that I reckon I'm capable of having. Might be able to equal them, but won't be able to beat 'em. If anyone's passing Reading / Twyford over the weekend, be sure to stop by.
