Patrick found himself getting carried away, almost literally, by an over-excited Pete Wentz on one side and an equally enthusiastic Jonas Brother on the other side. He realised that he was going to have to call them by name now as simply a Jonas Brother would get confusing. His brain was already not speaking to him because of the whole Kevin thing so he was in a situation where he could get easily confused.

No one else seems to mind the fact that all seven of them are now headed towards the cafeteria of whatever radio station they're at though. He's decided that this seals it; he hates these places now. He already did but now he has another reason besides the whole reminding him of school days he'd rather forget thing. Now he has the fact that he's going to have the worst experience of his life in one of them. He knows he's probably being over dramatic with that but he really can't bring himself to care.

He's half way through his list of ways to kill Pete Wentz with objects found in a tour bus. He's at number 23 which involves half of Pete's own CD collection, though he's pretty sure Pete would enjoy the irony of being killed by his own music when he's woken from his thoughts as he's pushed down onto one of those really uncomfortable seats and told to stay. He wonders when he turned into Pete's dog and thinks that maybe getting a collar would make things easier, though being dragged round on a lead didn't sound like fun. He wasn't sure how Hemmingway put up with it to be honest.

Finally returning to the real world he realises it's him, Andy, Nick and Kevin left on the table. He's aware of the fact that Pete is whispering something to Joe Trohman... not Jonas, Patrick realised this was another thing that could get so confusing. This seemed to be happening a lot to him as they head up to the food and thinks maybe Pete they now has have a Plan B. He's suddenly very scared.

Patrick can feel someone looking at him, the hairs on the back of his neck are tingling and standing on end he resists the urge to say his Spidey senses are tingling. After living with Pete for so long he's become used to this, though he would normally be greeted by a grin that showed too many teeth and a hug that was so tight it hurt but Pete was infront of him so it couldn't be him. He didn't know of anyone else who would be looking at him though so busied himself with making patterns on the table with the residue left from a cup of coffee.

He'd just finished his small smiley face when someone nudged him under the table. Pretty sure it was a mistake since Pete was still up at the food he ignored it. It happened again.

Glancing up he realised that there were only two people at the table now... one of them being him. He had a bad feeling about this. He turned his head slowly and came face to face with Kevin. Oh crap he just called him Kevin again, really this isn't going well at all is it? He thinks his brain may have just left for good, it doesn't seem to be answering him and he's tired of leaving voicemail.

He's starting to sound like Pete now... that's even scarier than anything else that had happened to him so far today.

Patrick realises about 10 seconds too late that the younger man is talking to him, saying things, words coming out of his mouth. He's sure he's meant to be replying, saying something clever and funny but he can't. His throat is closing up and he's seeing stars and he's pretty sure some time soon he's meant to breathe so he nods along and hopes Kevin doesn't realise he's dying because that would be so embarrassing.

He knows people expect him to come out with something poetic and cryptic, something like the words he sang every night on tour. But that isn't him and until that very moment he has never wished that it was. He has never wished that he had written those words, after seeing everything Pete went through to get where he is today he'd never wanted to be him. Until now. He wants to trade in the blushing and the awkwardness that girls seemed to like for some reason for the confident smirk and constant chatter that seemed to come so effortlessly to Pete.

Patrick wonders if there's any way to die while you're still breathing. He's pretty sure he must have at some point because it's 10 minutes later and everyone is back and he can breathe now. They're all joking and laughing around them and every now and again he can feel that tingle on the back of his neck and only half the time it's Pete.

It isn't until half an hour later when they're in the car back to the hotel that he realises that he has a number written on the back of his hand. He's not sure when that happened and he feels like he's back in high school and really hopes that none of the others have noticed the huge grin that seems to be stuck on his face. He's pretty sure he isn't gonna wash that hand for a while... or maybe not, that might be kinda gross, but the thought does cross his mind.

Then he has a lap full of Pete who's poking his side and singing something about Patrick and Kevin and a tree and realises it's less like high school and more like kindergarten whenever Pete was involved. He tries to scowl and push him off but gets rewarded with a kiss on the cheek and a hug that he thinks may have cracked a rib before his friend is bouncing off to ask Andy something.

fall out boy, jonas brothers, slash
