Hello everyone, or should I say anyone, that might read my journal still. I am at my parent’s house in MD. For those of you that might not have heard I have been on the Appalachian trail for the past 16 weeks. I have not finished yet; I am 1500 miles into it and have 675 miles left. The reason I am home right now is that I have hurt my ankle, possible seriously. I will find out some time this week when I am able to see the doctor. The situation is a tricky one in that I am hobble around the house just fine, but when I put on my 60 LB pack and try to start trekking up and down mountains the pain is too much. Now due to my late start and the time of year I will not be able to finish the trail one way or another this year. However I would like to get back on, skipping a section and finish, making up the section later, spring break maybe. I can't think of where to begin with the events of the past 4 months. I left for the trip completely unprepared for the challenge in front of me. I can look back at who I was when I started and I shake my head and wonder how I made it this far. If you are wondering I do have pics, hundreds of them, they are really neat to look at because you can see the change in me. I weighed about 240 when I left, I weigh about 190 - 200 right now and I have gained a lot of muscle mass. I have gone from a size 38 waist to a 33/32, not sure I haven't tried any paints on yet. Sorry I lost my train of thought there I got a bit nostalgic. I have really changed, I am still lober, but I have changed. How you might ask? I will not spoil it for yall, just wait and see. Before I go I will just summarize, I am not done yet, although I might be. I have no car no phone no email no money, it is great! Yes I will be getting all of them soon if this is it for me, I do not know how I will be able to let everyone know, I will somehow.
To end; Michelle has decided that it is for the best that we are only friends. So once again I am without. I don't like it but even so her point is valid and life goes on.
