Hot Days and Nights of a Fangirl

Aug 14, 2008 01:14

It's official, I'm obsessed.

What's else is new, seriously? Aside from the Olympics, the Dark Knight and Christian Bale I have a ton of things to obsess over this month, specifically the latter two, yay! I have seen the Dark Knight 3x now, I am crazy because I rarely see movies twice, hell I didn't see the X-Files: I Want to Believe twice ( I was quite disappointed in it, the only saving graces in that movie were David Duchovny and Xzibit, seriously sad.)

Anyhow, the way I am, once I am hooked to something I will relentless love it to death, I am quite dedicated. It's so nice I was able to spin my obsession into dedication. Anyhow, I remember saying in January to my friends omg The Dark Knight is going to be epic this summer, you have no freaking clue, like huge *stretches arms* I was totally not interested in it ironically b/c I had problems with Heath Ledger being the Joker (slaps self). So I saw the midnight showing, and thank goodness I did b/c I really did appreciate it and the audience was so much fun, they laughed a lot and applauded too much but really enjoyed it, later audiences I went in didn't go in with that appreciate well tonight's audience at least laughed at some parts.

As much as I enjoyed the Joker, he really did give me the lols, I took notice of Christian Bale more, omg what was wrong with me, I totally missed the mark by practically ignoring him, sad. Actually, no. Here's the thing, I remember when I went to see Batman Begins, I left the theater thinking omg Christian Bale was pretty good in that and he was hot omg! Then I didn't care about him after that, there was a trailer for the New World, I was like ooh Batman is in that one, yeah I never saw that movie and I heard he doesn't appear in it until like 2 hours into the film, so it was good thing that I didn't see it.....So the Dark Knight was more of a rediscovery of greatness and hotness really. So I did what any budding fangirl would do, watch as much of his films as I possibly could and some I found I already seen, my checklist is under the cut.

Newsies (1992) ** I don't like musicals and especially from Disney but I might have to break down and watch just to see him in it despite the fact he was 16 or 17 when that movie came out lol
Henry V (1989)
Empire of the Sun (1987)

At least now I can add another actor to my favorites, yay! Seriously, I do think he's a great actor. He's very involved invested into the roles, roles from film to film that are quite different, he definitely has range. Plus, I enjoy all his 2084308 accents that he uses and I am not much of an accent person really. That and he's absolutely beautiful to look at! (I'll find some photographic evidence of this, it's everywhere on the internet. Also,  he just seems like a nice person from hindsight, just working in the entertainment industry, you are prone to be more jaded so this is a pleasant surprise.

So much is coming up but I haven't done a light-hearted post in a while and I miss doing them, and hopefully I can do many more of them!
