so I found this meme lying around somewhere (I think it was in the summary of a fic I was reading earlier-- and how AWESOME is it that I can now read not just regular old books but FIC in the bathtub cause, ereader) and I really wanted to do it.

tell me a fic I haven't written and I'll give you between one and three sentences from that fic.

John's pretty sure the next interview he gives, no matter who it's to or what it's for, is going to be called Misadventures in Parenting, because who the fuck else's toddler would manage to stick a guitar slide up her nose?

***

Sometimes she looks at her life and wonders How the hell did I end up here?, but when 'here' is twenty acres of land outside of Nashville with two heathens tracking mud into her kitchen while she sits in the armchair in the breakfast nook trying to scribble down new lyrics to whatever melody she hears coming from John's music room where he'd disappeared after being commanded to "play me a song, Daddy!" by a tiny blonde in a fairy tutu and a cowboy hat-- well, here's not such a bad place to be.

***

Taylor's really glad they invested in the California King; she's lost count of the number of mornings she's woken up with Dylan's feet in her face, Avery's arm slung over one of hers, and Shiri's entire tiny body somehow flung over both her and John.

Love all of it! The first one, "Misadventures in Parenting," made me die laughing, and the middle paragraph/run-on sentence...perfection. If she's her mother's child, then yes, she'll always want Daddy to play her a song more so than Mommy.

I have a friend who's daughter looks just like that, her favorite thing is wearing a pink tutu, her cowboy boots, and her cowboy hat. She's 3, has blonde hair and blue eyes, and loves Taylor Swift. How crazy is that?!

Aw, I love this! The first two, especially. I love the sense of chaotic domestic bliss and the idea of their house being ruled by their kids haha.

AHHH!!!! I can't wait to write 'epilogue' scenes with you!

In your mind, is Avery a boy or girl?

Okay, John, Taylor and a pile of kids stacked up like puppies in bed?
This must happen.
