Sleeping like a baby

Jun 17, 2008 12:37

I slept like a baby last night. I was up every two hours. I thought about crying, but it wouldn't have done me a damn bit of good, so I didn't bother. Needless to say, today I am somnambulating.

We did, in fact, go out to run errands yesterday evening; I needed tea, Cheerios, and kitty litter. An odd combination, if not the weirdest I've ever needed. However, since I am picky about my tea and specific about my cat litter, this all required several separate stops -- to World Market, Petco, and Safeway, and then to have breakfast for dinner. It was a long day. I'm hoping to make today shorter.

I did get a late start this morning, though, because when I opened the closet to get my shoes, Selina and a kitten disappeared into it. I tried semi-desperately to get them out -- it amuses me to tell cats firmly to get out of the closet -- then decided just to leave the damn closet open. Of course, shortly after I did that, while I was pouring Cheerios, I had all three pussycat noses in the kitchen, so I ran to close the closet. I am beginning to adjust to the need to count noses before I close the door behind me when I leave the house.

Clearly, my writing is more disjointed than usual, not to mention excessively boring, even to me. Bee good!
