It's currently just about 9:20am, which is an awful sign if I'm already using my last tool of procrastination. It's clearly going to be a long day as I'll be staring at the computer with my glazed over eyes looking either drugged or dead. But that's alright, that's what happens to drones that working in the office every day from 9 till 5. I'm moving on up, to the great excitement of adulthood.
Anyway, Howie Day was fantastic last night. So much fun. He was highly amusing when he talked. He sounded as though he was trying to put the moves on someone with his "sexy deep voice". He also had a red solo cup on stage with him as did the the guitarist, I believe they were a little giddy drunk half way through the show. The girls sitting next to Ambar and myself were highly annoying and sat complaining about one of the opening acts and clapping with the tips of fingers. They basically behaved like middle school children and couldn't seem to enjoy themselves, but they disappeared like 10 minutes into howie. Music, Company, Theater, all v. good.
After howie's encore and coming back acting highly goofy and making the floor and balcony compete for who could be louder (clearly the balcony won, with ambar and myself)we all sang and headed out around 11:30? Got back to apt. in hopes of watching the new Dane Cook (which the DVD is ok, but really not that exciting. the cds are probably great though)but nothing went as planned. I was on the computer and attempting to get stuff together when suddenly the cats ran up to me around my foot. Then I felt something under my foot and assumed it was a cat toy as I didn't pay attention. I became thoroughly confused when the thing moved and I looked down to discover there was a cockroach beneath my foot. YES. A cockroach beneath the foot of dane. Well, those who know me, I'm sure are laughing at the image they now have of me running around screaming at the top of my lungs and jumping on the sofa. After lots of screaming and thankfully finding bug spray, Ambar killed the killer cockroach for me. I owe this girl my life! She proved herself to me that no matter how much we lose contact during the school year, she'll always have my back. Lord knows not everyone would have put up with me in a moment like that. As unlucky as I was to have had the bug in the apt in the first place it was a blessing it happened when barn was there, because I would have peed myself and ran off crying otherwise.
Eventually we did get to eat ice cream, watch a little Dane, and head off to sleep. The cats were extremely loud and kept us up all night basically. They made a mess of the guest bathroom as we left toilet paper out and the seat up. I woke to shredded wet toilet paper and toilet water all over the bathroom floor. It was a great treat for 7am. But I managed to shower, vacuum, feed the cats and myself, find an iron for ambar, put ointment in the cat's ears and get to work on time. I'm always outdoing myself.
Now it is about 9:40ish. I have a full day of work ahead and I am tired. Apparently I'm leading some meeting with the big boss man and the two women I've been helping collect this web stats info. HAHAHA. Me lead an actual important meeting, these people must be out of there minds. Well that's that. I'm going to try and find something to do. Maybe prepare for this meeting? I think not. Till next time.
