It has just been revealed that former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison had a penchant for collecting ministries, unbeknown to his Cabinet colleagues, or most other people for that matter. Yes, believe it or not, the man who coined the term “on water matters” as an excuse for not discussing the turning around of boats full of illegal immigrants, the man who kept secret that he was taking a holiday in Hawaii as the country faced its worst-ever bushfire catastrophe, also, it turns out, had himself secretly sworn in as Minister for Health, Minister for Finance, Minister for Industry, Science, Energy and Resources, Minister for Home Affairs, and Treasurer, in an “unprecedented trashing of our democracy”, according to new PM, Anthony Albanese. And we thought Trump and Johnson were megalomaniacs!
