Her Smile
The man was quiet.
Even though he’s not as chatty or playful as he is when he’s on screen than off screen, he’s still quieter than usual. It’s as if the whole thing is bothering him.
And none of his members miss this.
“Yah….” Junsu nudged him lightly, hissing, “Yah, Wooyoung ah…”
Wooyoung woke up from his trance and turn to face his hyung. His face expressionless.
“What?”
“You’re staring and it’s obvious.”
Wooyoung shifted his glance away from the giggling girls and turns to face his hyung to find the other members staring at him with a concern look.
“Don’t you even dare says you’re fine because it’s obvious you’re acting weird.” Junsu stated firmly as he turns to look at the 5 girls surrounding the computer. Even Park Jinyoung is standing behind them giving occasional nods of approval.
Today, Wonder Girls leader, Min Sunye had just announced that she had met someone to Park Jinyoung himself and almost every staffs. She felt that there is a need to do this, a need to be honest. Apparently the other Wonder Girls had already known about this earlier.
2AM and Miss A had also came to congratulate her, especially Kwon who seems really really excited and happy for his best friend.
Now, it’s only left with Wonder Girls and Park Jinyoung chatting happily with Sunye’s new boyfriend on Sunye’s laptop.
And of course, 2PM who’s standing one side, looking at them, silently giving comfort to one of their very own member.
“I am fine.” Wooyoung lied even after Junsu’s statement.
Nichkhun went to the other side of him and patted lightly and his shoulder.
“You don’t have to act like it’s nothing in front of us, Wooyoung ah.”
With this, the other 3 members of 2PM moved forward and gave him a gentle grip of comfort on the shoulder each, knowing that he needed them.
“We are like your family, don’t hide away from us.” Junsu spoke again.
“You guys knew about this long ago, don’t you?” Wooyoung whispered.
All of them replied him with a nod.
“How stupid. And I thought I hid it well.” Wooyoung scoffed. A bitter laugh escaped from his mouth.
His eyes shifted back to Wonder Girls’ leader who’s smiling so brightly, letting out a soft giggle occasionally. He could see the love in her eyes. She’s glowing; she’s in love and she’s beautiful. But he’s not the reason.
He’s not why she’s glowing; it’s the other him.
He’s not why she’s in love; it’s the other him.
But to him, she’s his every reason to smile.
With this thought, a small smile slowly grew on Wooyoung’s handsome face.
Yoobin looked up from the computer screen and turns to look at the boys. He noticed how she gave him a comforting smile when her gaze fell onto his. He turned to look at Junsu who merely gave him a shrug.
Wooyoung let out a soft laugh.
Of course, Junsu would have discussed it with Yoobin noona.
“Yah,”
The other 5 members gave Wooyoung their attention.
“Let’s go up and give the new couple our blessing too.”
With that, he turned and walks suavely towards the girls. But when he realized that none of the boys is following him, he stopped and faces them; only to find each and every of them giving him weird stares.
“Wooyoung ah, you don’t have to do this if you don’t want to.” Taecyeon said softly.
“But I want to.”
And once again, he continued his walk towards the girls.
Junsu, Taecyeon, Nichkhun, Junho and Chansung stared at Wooyoung’s back and then gave each other a look. Understanding each other’s meaning, the 5 boys hurried forward to where the girls are too.
“Sunye ah, you’re happy now right?”
That was the first line they heard Wooyoung asks when they reached the girls. His voice was monotonous that none of the 2PM member could tell if it’s sincere or what.
Sunye turned away from the computer screen and look at the man; giving him a nod and her best eyes smile, a smile he thought he saw a few times before, a few years back. A smile, which made and is still able to make his heart flutter.
“That’s good.”
He gave her a small smile, a tinge of bitterness in it, which she completely missed it.
“Oppa,”
Her voice was bright and cheerful.
“That’s 2PM Wooyoung. The other boys here are the other members of 2PM. You will get to know each other better soon.”
Wooyoung laughed silently to himself knowing that that will never happen. He wants to stay away from this guy as far as possible until his heart is ready.
“Yah.”
Wooyoung said, catching his attention, his voice was firm and hard.
Junsu held onto his arm with a warning grip, which Wooyoung shrugged it off easily.
“Sunye is JYP Nation’s precious sun; she takes care of almost everyone. She can’t get hurt. She’s like a best friend and a dongsaeng to me. You hurt her, me and the other 2PM boys will bring down an army, hunt you down, kill you, chop you into pieces and throw you into the sea. You got it? Treat our sun well.”
With that warning, Wooyoung turned away and walks off without turning back; not even when he felt Yoobin’s light pat on his arm before his departure. Nor when he heard the rush footsteps of his members rushing to him
Nothing will make him turn back.
He just continues to walk away, with a slight small bitter smile plastered on his handsome face.
As long as he gets to see her smile, everything’s fine.
