1. How about a brief introduction of yourself?
Hello :D *bows* My name is Julie and I’m the same age as Taeminnie~ I love the colour orange and dinosaurs are my best friend! But what I really want to say is… Jinki is my hubby *O*)/♥
2. Fabulous! And what got you into fanfiction to begin with?
It was actually DBSK that got me into reading and writing fanfiction. I first read DBSK x fictional characters but later I had a major obsession with the pairing Yoosu. I ended up writing a lot of Yoosu~ I’m glad it was DBSK that got me into this wonderful fanfiction world :)
3. I see, so what kind of fanfiction do you like to read/write?
I love writing a jammed pack fluff oneshots of Onkey nowadays. The fluffier the better ;) I tend to like AU fics where the characters are in high school/university or more like a real-life scenario where they are SHINee members.
I love reading angst however probably because I suck in writing angst -o-~ I admire how people can make me ache and cry with their way with words… it is just beautiful.
4. Do you tend to read the same characters/pairings? Or are you a fandom whore?
I do tend to read a lot of Onkey since they are so cute and adorable together! It’s like a match made in Heaven :) Despite that, I do read a few selected other pairings. Minkey is my recent favourite obsession; I just can’t get enough of them. Occasionally I read Jongkey because that pairing is so close with each other. Lastly, I do read 2Min but that’s about it for pairings I read.
5. What is your most popular/favourite fanfic? Why do you think people/you like it?
My two most popular fanfic is Pick up Lines and What is Your Favourite Fruit? I think my readers like Pick up Lines and What is Your Favourite Fruit? because I jammed packed as much cheesiness and fluff into it as I could x) I made Jinki the mega cheese ball in both and it just so happens that it’s one of our favourite sides of him.
My favourite fanfic would have to be between Sunday Morning and One Starry Night. I love these two because it’s simple but so much love between my OTP. The scenarios are just perfect and ideal to me. *U*
6. What is the fanfic that you've written that you're most proud of? (For readers : What is the fanfic you love but are too ashamed to admit that you like it?)
I’m most proud of For Jinki because it was my first ever Onkey fanfic :D And it just so happens to be angst too…
7. Do you find writing/reading hard? What are the aspects you struggle with most?
I do find writing hard at lot of the times. I have to wait for that one good idea to pop in my head before my fingers can start typing away. Inspiration is key to me ^^ Maybe that is why I post so infrequently… I think I struggle the most in making my readers feel what the character is going through without writing it out literally. Does that make sense? D:
8. Could you please share a few sentences about your favourite pairing / character? Why is it your favourite?
My favourite pairing would have to be Onkey of course ;) It’s something about the connection between the two; it just clicks. Their interactions on camera may not be as extravagant as Jongkey or 2Min but the small little looks and touches just makes me squeal. The pairing is so ninja at times, it makes me wonder if they are trying to hide something *giggles* I’ve always liked a blunt diva pairing with a soft and gentle character because the diva Kibummie would only be sweet to his Jinki. And isn’t that just so cute? :DD♥
9. Are there any fanfiction trends/cliches you can't stand and are sick of?
I really cannot stand fanfics where they portray Minho as the quiet- to the point where he doesn’t even speak at all boy. I know that might have been his image when he first debuted but he’s not like that. The boy speaks! And when he does talk, it is wonderful…
10. What was the first fandom you read/wrote for? Do you still like participate in it?
The first fandom I wrote for would be Yoosu :) It is unfortunate that I do not participate in writing or reading about them anymore…
11. Name your OTPs or most frequently read/written pairings/characters and explain what it is you love to read/write about them.
I only write Onkey xP I love writing about them because I love Onkey. Is that enough to explain it? Keke♥
12. What would you call your 'writing-style'? (If you are a reader: What's your favourite writing style to read?)
Hmmmm, my writing style. . . I have no clue what to call it ;A;
13. What do you find reading yourself the most?
Like I mentioned before, I read angst the most. Something about the way it’s so painful and heartbreaking… I hate angst though because it makes me cry. Yesh, it’s a love hate relationship with me and angst.
14. Name of one thing you'd LOVE to write/read but have been too shy/afraid of?
I would LOVE to write Minkey! It’s not that I’ve been too shy or afraid to write my second favourite pairing… more like I have no time :((
15. Do you have trouble receiving/giving criticism?
Nuuuh~ I like receiving criticism for my fanfics! It’s a great way to pinpoint my errors and fix them for a better result x)
16. If you write is there anything that helps? Music? Quiet room? (For reader: Is there a certain ritual you celebrate when you read? Make a hot coffe and cuddle up in bed? Read during boring work hours?)
Music definitely helps me get into the mood for writing. It just inspires me and gets me working harder when I hear Jinki’s voice in my head… So cheesy but it’s true *O* I do enjoy writing when I am alone, especially at my kitchen table. I get less distracted when I’m alone and I love looking out to my backyard when I’m at the kitchen.
17. Lastly, how would you sum up your fanfiction experiences and yourself as a writer/reader?
To sum it all up, my fanfiction experience is super duper amazing♥ I’ve learned to write a lot better and I was able to meet all these lovely people on livejournal :) I love you guys~
