Some updates about Empire of Ashes

First, of all, thank you everyone who has commented or messaged me about the story.  It was really nice of you to take the time to leave a reply.  You guys are awesome.

I hope you will too! I can never promise that I'll finish a story (I mean, what if I get hit by a car the next day?) but I love Empire of Ashes to pieces. It's my baby ;_;

However, it is also by far, the most intricate story I'm writing. It's made up of a ton of carefully moving pieces and I want to get them all lined up exactly right so the emotional pay-off later is really good. Also, the 4 kingdoms need to be fleshed out and expanded. I want the imagery to be rich enough that readers can actually imagine themselves in this world.

In the next chapter, nothing really happens if you look at it one way, but the interactions between people will reveal a lot about their character and the overall direction of the story. Minho is especially hard to write. It's hard for me to get into his head. He's--how can I say this?--a very still character. He doesn't do much (for now) but there's so much he's feeling and thinking about on the inside.

Sigh. It would be wonderful if someone else could just write the damn thing for me. The reason I started the story was because I wanted to read it so badly!
