Gosh...how unoriginally American Pie-ish!
Anyways, I'm back again. Let us all rejoice and slaughter 3 goats, 2 wildebeests, and an ox! Ok, not so much, but you get the idea.
Well, not much to say except I just got back from Orlando...Oviedo to be exact...for my Freshmen Orientation at UCF. Let me tell you, I had a few doubts, and wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but I did. You know, I've got a lot of friends going to UF, and the whole family wanted me over there, but I'm glad I did something different.
It was a two-day thing, which really could have been condensed to a 1 hour class registration, if only universities weren't out to make some extra cash. When I arrived, I visited my apartment, and lucky Lourdes was there to give me a tour. Sa-weet. I freakin' love it. I didn't get to see my actual room since it's locked, but I saw a sample one, and it is definitely more spacious than my current room, and the apartment is pretty big, too. I totally dug it.
Then I went to the campus and did the whole tour, hours of info, blah blah blah thing. Our group leader showed us various campus sites such as a little portable near the health center that is known as the "Free Condom" place...pretty funny. Speaking of which, there are a lot of chicks over there at UCF. Mostly white, but also mostly hot. I was sat next to this girl named Lindsey. Freakin' HOT. If this is what I am to expect...ohhhh lordy! lol...
But yeah, long story short, the biggest part was registering for my classes. I had a pretty good idea of what I was going to take, but I was still a little unsure. The 5 I got on the AP Chem score Junior year gave me exemption from 2 classes and a lab. However, I hadn't received my AP English Lit score...so I didn't know what to do. Luckily, I called my sister right before I went in to register, and whaddaya know, my score came in the mail. A freakin' 4! That means I don't have to take English! Sa-weet.
A class I was trying to get was History of Motion Pictures, for my film major. However, there were only 8 empty spaces prior to our registration. Man, as soon as that guy said "2 pm, registration is now open", I put my fast fingers and internet guru-ness to use. I quickly got on the website, punched in the key-code for the class, and hit enter. I waited for the page to load, and BOOM: "Class selection COMPLETE". I got the class! Then I punched in some codes for Finite Math, Speech (the final English class I need to complete my Gen Ed requirement), and "History of Man" (the final Science class I need to complete my Gen Ed requirement). So next semester, I'll be done with Sciene and English! Plus, my earliest class is at 10:30 am, and my latest ends at 4:20 pm. Now THAT'S sa-weet!
So all in all, I'm pretty happy. And I'm definitely looking forward to life up there at UCF, both academic and social. Speaking of social life, I've been missin' a few people...some special people. So if you get a call from me saying we need to hang out, feel special! =0)
Eddie, out.
