Three moar Timonie-pics, just because I got some really nice ones.  She's wearing another set right now...eventually I'll get it shot!  She's wearing a Zoi no Miko dread wig with it because it matches PERFECTLY with the yarns, lol.  In the meantime:

Thank you! ^^ Timonie is from a Korean maker called Iplehouse, & she was a limited edition "hiphop" version of the Cocori sculpt:

I sold off the hiphop outfit immediately, but one of the reasons I bought her was to model the dollsweaters I knit...she photographs beautifully, poses wonderfully & her body sculpt just makes the sweaters look so natural. I had a flock of boys her size (approx. 60 cm) before I ever found a girl I really loved.

Right now I think they're only selling "normal"skin (=Caucasian/Asian) & whiteskin versions (o__O)of her as a stock doll, but every so often they offer her in a dark tan or an ebony resin (Timonie's ebony). It's much harder to make the darker resin dolls (which is why they're not stock), but I think the white ones look kind of comical, given her beautiful black features. But IH was the first to offer a real-featured black doll, & they also do some really fantastic Asian-featured ones. Some of their work is a bit "anime," but they've got a lot of very realistic-looking dolls these days too, with smaller eyes & generally less exaggeration (esp. the more-adult SIDs & EIDs)...it's become something of their trademark. Worth a look around the site, definitely.

And in the arena of compliments, while I really do love basically all you write, I have to say, your seasonal Hichi/Ichi stories reign as my favourites. They're my Bleach OTP, & I think you wrote some of the very best, most erudite fic for them that I've read. <3 Shame you didn't finish the seasons, but I enjoyed what I got! ;)

You know I actually was just at that site looking at dolls! They're all SO PRETTY. Sometimes I get a little weirded out by some bjds, but these were so lovely and had beautiful expressions.

And awwww, you flater meee! My writing style has grown so much since then! I'd really like someday to finish them in my current style.

Wait...you knit those doll clothes yourself?? They're GREAT looking!

Iplehouse started out kind of like the "other" dollmakers, but they're really coming into their own, I think, with the adult-looking dolls. That EID Bichun is gorrrrgeous. And I just bought two of their 3-year-old-ish BIDs from the Elemental Guardian series (minus all the fairy stuff they were offered with)...I've never really wanted kid-like BJDs, but Erzulie & Ifreet won me over to the dark side. Plus, I wanted sweater models in that size, which is super-popular.

Yep, I knit that set & you should be able to come by some more of my work under the "knitting" tag...I think I've got it all catalogued. People are kinda nuts in this hobby...I've sold some of my Chaos Lace (like fishnet on acid) pieces for $120+ on eBay. Sweaters that could fit on your hand. Crazy!

Oh, how I'd love to see that story set finished one day...how fabulous it is that their interaction is as fascinating as the UST! Although, yeah, Hichi fingersucking ftw. ;)
