Today is a GOOD DAY my people!
Mom wanted a new computer so that she wouldn't have to fight my siblings to get online, so we went a little technology shopping. It helps that there was a nice Best Buy sale this week, and the computer we'd been eyeing was knocked down a bit, even with the better-chip upgrade.
And while we were there I picked up a SHINY terabyte external hard drive, on sale, for only $119. Almost makes up for not being able to buy one in Japan (because, come on, cramming MORE into my luggage? Ha.)
I am now in the process of transferring things from my full-up 500 GB hard drive to it. Why, you ask? So I can keep my folders in tact.
My TV folder is so damn big it can't even give me a time estimate yet for the transfer. XD
SO. That's good news bit one.
Good news bit two?
Bought X-2 on the way back home for ten bucks. SCORE.
... it is fun, right? >_> I also wanted to get Devil May Cry 3... but if it's 10 bucks now it'll be CHEAPER LATER. MOO HA HA.
Mom also got Rhythm Heaven, which I will play. WHEE.
Good news bit three?
The VAMPS album is actually really good.
I hear I GOTTA KICK START NOW on Music Station, and while it was good, I just thought it was one of those things Hyde does every now and again--just another band to retreat to when L'arc tosses him out on his ass next time.
Normally, I'm not a big fan of Hyde--he has a nice voice (when recorded), but L'arc isn't really hard enough for me most of the time.
However, VAMPS has a more rock-ish feel too it. Possibly due to Kaz, and not Hyde, but whatever works for you. (PS- HAS ANYONE EVER SEEN KAZ'S EYES??)
In conclusion, if you like Hyde's voice but would prefer some better (and a little harder) rock behind it, get the VAMPS album.
However, the first track (vampire-esque soundclips) DID make me go "OH HYDE YOU FLAMING PANSY." XD Because it's true.
NOW'S YOUR CHANCE GACKT.
A good day, a good day indeed.
