I was thinking.
So, you know how in IB, the teachers are incessant about teaching us MLA formatting? How everything has to be perfect MLA, no exceptions, because we need to be prepared for college? Because that's the way they do it out in the real world of academia?
SUCH BULLSHIT.
I have yet to have a professor that insists upon MLA. Most don't require any formatting at all, more of a "however you can fit what you want into the page limit, so long as it's not ridiculous" sort of arrangement. If you do use MLA, they don't mind, of course, but they do kind of give you that "ah, you're one of those" looks until they've gotten used to you. Maybe you use it up in higher level grad-school type arenas, but definitely not here.
Lesson Learned: MLA is for FREAKS.
... which explains why I still use it.
BACK TO STRESSING ABOUT PAPERS AND TESTS AND APPLICATIONS LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW. HOO-AH.
Brain... explode.
