Pins - anyone remeber these?

Taking a cue from micaylah, this is something that I found in my bag of site and feast tokens. (Yes, I have saved them from the events I have been to - don't ask me why.)

Was this ever a site or feast token, or did someone give them to me? What am I supposed to do with them? Are they veil pins?

These are traditionally used for veil pins in the SCA...yes.
They're long enough that they don't tend to work their way loose.

I have a few sets! ;)

I wear veils maybe once every 2 years when I wear Norman (which is late period for me). How do you use the pins? I normally have my veil stuck on with a circlet.

See this is why I don't do late period - it's far too complicated and restrictive sounding. If I could figure out periods that did hats instead of veils and wimples and such, I'd be far more into later period costuming.

The turban idea is a useful suggestion. I haven't made myself one yet.

They were given out at an event where Wilhelm and Christabel were the autocrats I believe. I also have them

They were a Practicum token some 4 Practicums ago at least.

Once Pam said an event Cristabell ran, I thought it must have been a Practicum. NOw I know why they ended up in my site token bag.

I should move them to my jewelry bag.
