Bardic books
I took advantage of a quiet house this afternoon to do something that I hadn't done in over a year and a half. Princess Sugarplum is off at her grandparents. The Pumpkin was napping, and I started reading one of my 18 (yes count them - 18) Irish bardic books.
Years ago, I had this great idea to teach a course on Practicum on some aspect of Irish bardic traditions. I opted to teach early Irish costuming one year and Irish language the next because they both involved less prep work. I wonder if (Practicum theme permitting) I could pull off getting some kind of bardic course ready for February 2007?
I also wonder whether anyone would be interested in taking it, although people have taught courses on far more narrow topics that were well attended. This is such a positive sign that I'm getting back into every thing that I used to love this fall.
