Huh. I was surprisingly sorry to see it finish in the end.
Decided to watch for the totally shallow reason of *ooh, pretty* (Jensen Ackles) but figured going straight into second season would be foolish so I mainlined the whole 2 seasons over the past 2 weeks.
Liked season one - was better than a lot of first seasons out there, built plot quickly, filler stuff had fun characters.
Season two though, I could really see why it got canceled. Ackles taking his top off a lot was all that redeemed the earlier episodes, White was not an interesting villain and then the breeding cult stuff. *yawn*
However - by the end I could accept all the first 2/3 of season 2 as a slow build to what was a good end - stuff came together, lots of other stuff didn't, the final stand off at Jam Pony used Sketchy, Normal and Cindy (so well established in S1 and a bit ignored in S2) to good effect. There was an element of "but wha?" there with Biggs and um, the other transgenic messenger and some of the Terminal City establishing was a bit quick.
But good point to end it. Shame there isn't anymore in the end.
