Not much goin on here, I had a meeting at Saint Xavier with an Admissions Counselor this afternoon.
I thought about going back to Marquette, but decided that the Marquette chapter in my life needed to come to a close. I really treasure the friendships I made and the relationships that I had developed, but the fact still remains, "you can't go home again." I know that going back there, life had still been going on for the past year, and as much as the times change, people change too. I don't think I could go back there and just jump right back to where I was one year ago.
Work has been, well, work. Nothing too excited on that end either. Still dealing with the fact that cash is short at the desk, and not just like $5 short. Like, $2,000 short in the past three months. I don't know where the money is walked off to, but I don't like the finger getting pointed at me. A friend of mine from work said that his mom used to work at a bank, and since the money going into our store is federally insured, the FBI will get involved to see to it that it is found. I got nothing to hide, so bring it, but at the same time, I don't need that sitting on my shoulders every time I clock-in.
I have to give a "Speech to Entertain" in my public speaking class. It needs to be on an off-the-wall, non-serious issue. I think I'm going to address the 1980's in some fashion. I'm trying to compile a list of things from the 80's (i.e., Alf, Smurfs, Small Wonder, Saved By The Bell, Mullets, Cassette Tapes, Leg Warmers, and 'Cut-It-Out' courtesy of Joey Gladstone on Full House). If you have anything for my list of 1980-isms, please let me know.
Thats it for now.
