Surfer reports territorial attack
A 35-year-old Santa Clara man reported Monday that a fellow surfer at Steamer Lane attacked him, Sgt. Loran Baker said.
He said a surfer in his 20s rammed his board June 28, and hit and kicked him after accusing him of "snaking waves," Baker said.
The man told the victim to "beat it," that he didn’t live in Santa Cruz. The victim said three other men threw rocks from the cliff, Baker reported.
