Hey, Vatheon!

[ Have a smile from the camera, and a wave, Vatheon. :D The speaker is positively cheerful and bubbly, obviously unbothered by recent events. Or, rather, if she is, it isn't showing. ]We've got some new arrivals, right~? If my info is right, that meeeeaaaans... you're all probably wondering a bunch of things! [Suuup, Maya. So he came to say hi when he saw her.

Also to deliver notes. Ace assistant yep. :|b He's been helping out newbies all over the place.]

Hello, Maya-san.

[Insert polite nod here.]

[ A laugh. ]

Minato-kun! How are you?

I'm doing well, thank you.

How are you? I hope the dinosaurs didn't cause any troubles for you?

Me? No way. It was a little exhausting, but Artemis and I handled things just fine. The last thing I'd want to be is my own headline, after all.

[ And she offers him a nod. ]

And you too, I assume? I know you did your best.

Yes, I was fine. I'm glad that you're okay.

[He nods towards the table.]

Do you mind if I sit with you?

[ A pause. ]

... Why would I? Come on, why don't you get something, too?

[ Cheerfully taking a sip of her own coffee as she looks at her notes. ]

[ And she's looking at her writing about said dinosaurs. ]

... Though, to be honest... I'm kind of stumped where those dinosaurs came from. I've got theories, but... neither holds a lot of weight.

[Nod nod. He takes a seat, considering this.]

What are your theories?

dualpinkpistols April 18 2011, 04:32:12 UTC
... Either someone spread a rumor and it's like what happened back home in Sumaru city with them becoming reality, or they were accidentally transported here. But that would imply our captors had an issue with whatever device--or being--transports us here.

[ Thoughtfully, she begins talking to herself. ] Though, to be honest, that would make more sense; a lot of people died, right? And we were all weaker. So whatever we're tied to could be scientific in nature after all.

... It's not a bad theory, though I've got no real proof. It's all circumstantial.

[He nods again, setting his own notes on the table. :|b]

I'm not sure if you've noticed, but in the time I've been here, the number of people brought each month has increased. Likewise...the people brought are strangely selective.

... Yes, I've noticed that as well. Good eye, Minato-kun.

[ She is proud. Sadly, her smile dwindles a bit. ]

It is kind of concerning, to be honest... we have no idea what their aim is, or... anything, really! We could really use some kind of way to get a crack in their armor. I really wanted to break into the Church, but it's too heavily guarded... though that's really nothing compared to the Last Battalion.

[ ... Yeah. She... actually considered this seriously. Alone. ]

[. . .]

There's no need to rush anything like that; we'll get answers, if slowly.

[aka don't be reckless, surrogate big sister, plz.]

As for their aim...Most of the people who have been here longer seem to believe it's to power the coral and thus the barrier. What do you think?

dualpinkpistols April 18 2011, 05:11:24 UTC
... If that's true, then... they're in just as much trouble as we are. And it explains an awful lot, don't you think?

[ This is more serious than before, now. ]

That explains why so many of us Persona-users may be here as well. Maybe someone who isn't normal--like you and me--has more to give. If that is the case... we may not be the only victims here.

... Still, I can't say I approve of their lying to us. I know I'd be much more willing to help if they were to be honest. That's why I'm hoping when we get the chance, we can get a peek inside the restricted areas.

It does. It also explains why it takes far more energy to summon our Personas than it did before; similarly it was even harder during the dinosaur invasion, as if bringing the dinosaurs had weakened the coral and it thus required more energy from us.

[...]

Nonetheless, even if death is impermanent here, they might be much less forgiving if we are caught attempting something like that.

That's true...

[ She is a bit annoyed by this. ]

So we're at a standstill. While it's risky, it is only an idea. It's times like this I wish I had the rest of the group with me; we'd have no problem making a distraction together, or whatever we would have to do.

I just wish we could get answers. Being a journalist and getting no definitives is like being in a boat on land.

...But Maya-san, there would be no place to go, even after creating a distraction. Eventually, you would be caught.

[His expression is solemn.]

We will find answers; there's no need to take reckless actions to do so. After all, I am sure we will need everyone's particular talents to understand this place fully.
