I am beginning to believe that this mansion is driving people insane.
Mr. Rochester has returned, though appearing older and apparently with amnesia. Madame Daae has been acting quite strange, as well as Mr. Bones. John and I have come up with the conclusion that there is more at work here. That, perhaps, there is a demon afflicting them; one within Mr. Bones, and the other in the ring that refuses to remove itself from the Lady's hand. I can only hope that this matter is taken care of before anyone else is hurt...
It is becoming troublesome trying to find out how I can turn medications that need to be injected into ones that will be consumed. With some I know it is quite possible, though I wish to ensure that it has the same effect. It needs to go into the vein, and if consumed, it will take longer, and perhaps not work at all. Should I double the dosage.. Yes, that is possible, though I do not wish to take the chance that it would cause a person to become ill. Yet again I find myself with a puzzle that is difficult, and one I must figure out very soon, else she will die. Needles horrify her, and after forcing an injection... I loathe to attempt such a thing again. The only other way is by drugging her. That...I do not look forward to either.
My own sickness has diminished, it seemed. I have not felt the dizziness, or the blinding headaches for a little over a week now. I cannot let this stress wound more more than it has already, for then I will be completely useless. I do find it very strange how I am subject to this whereas Mr. Renfield and Miss Murry claim they cannot become ill at all. This is something I shall look more into, if I see the Count again. Strange that he and his woman has disappeared, as well as Mr. Harker...
I have done a few of my rounds; Liza, Miss Linton, Heathcliff and myself have been given the inoculations. I will complete the others when I've chance to do so. For now I should return to the laboratory and continue with this daunting task. I pray that it will be complete before it is too late...
