Well this one was a ride. From the second I saw river_boat's suggestion, I pictured Veronica and Weevil. I mean, I watched the show. They have a connection going on. Just not one that could carry this song. :P Veronica just doesn't flirt with Eli. And she doesn't hate him either. So I got *nothin* to work with. But there was Logan, waiting on the edges, sneaking into the beginning of the vid. Staring at Weevil every time I scrolled through my source. *Those* two flirt constantly *and* hate each other. I just didn't think I had enough source to make this. Logan really didn't care.
Cut the song down a little, but I couldn't bear to lose too much. I have too many high school memories of belting this song out at the top of my lungs in the shower. I even sang it a cappella once for a theatre audition. Which in retrospect was definitely a mistake, but that's how much I loved it. And that probably contributed to some of my trouble with the vid. I have a very strong assocation with the original source and how I wanted this to move. I'm not positive I was totally successful in bringing that across, but at some point the pretty boys stopped listening and just kept hitting each other. Hotly. It'd be a lie to say I fought back.
Hmm...nothing new technically in this vid, but it is my first intentionally slashy vid, so that's what I'm gonna go with. Not that these two needed much of a push. Or, any push. They think they're being all tough and posturing with their eyes, but unless eye-fucking another guy is considered really intimidating in a tough-guy way, they are failing miserably. And where Weevil talks and talks and talks when he's around Veronica, he just stares and smirks and threatens Logan non-verbally. And Logan just eats it up, messed up boy that he is.
I think the whole vid can be summed up in the intro. You can't tell me that with that little scooter, Logan doesn't wish he had a Cool Rider instead.
Comments, critique, tips for making the pretty boys listen better next time, are all appreciated dearly. And yay! New Veronica Mars this week! ::dances::
