Lyrics

Amanda Abizaid - "A Place In Time"

So long ago, another life
I could feel your heart beat
It's not a dream, remember us
I can see it in your eyes

We'll find a place in time
A place in time beyond the sun

We'll find a place in time
A place in time to call our own

So long ago, another life
I could feel your heart beat
It's not a dream, remember us
I can see it in your eyes

We'll find a place in time
A place in time beyond the sun

We'll find a place in time
A place in time to call our own

Comments:

So, at first I did cut this song down to about minute. Then I actually finished watching everything through "A Christmas Invasion", and I dumped the edited version. :) The song just completely repeats itself, and until I decided to go from Nine to Ten, I wasn't sure I could make that interesting, even for under two minutes. Now excuse me while I tackle and smoosh and cover bailunrui with kisses for finally getting me to watch this series. :D

I'm a complete mess of love for the Doctor at this point. I liked the show when I finished up the episodes. I liked both versions of the Doctor. But after having vidded them, I now miss Nine so much it hurts, and I just love them both into tiny incoherent pieces (and Jack and Rose!). How I'm going to do this to myself with several fandoms with no recuperation period between, I have no idea. My brain may just short-circuit.

I started with this vid because I had just finished my watching on Sunday, and because I didn't need to rip anything since all of the episodes were downloaded. I don't plan on vidding everything else in the order I recieved it, neccessarily. Set up my Avisynth files and my project Monday afternoon and night, and started vidding yesterday afternoon. Took a break to eat supper, and finally had the final version at about 7 am today. Took a couple hour nap, and am now posting. ;D See? Totally going to kill myself due to not being able to stop while in-process.

Things I learned if any...:
  • Tried some new things with Avisynth, ended up junking some of the new stuff when I found a nicer version of "The Christmas Invasion".
  • Learned that my love for Avisynth is only going to grow.
  • Fell madly in love with The Doctor. Duh. :P
I'm pretty happy with it. Or I'm blinded with love, which is certainly possible. I didn't use any effects that I'd never used before, but I did combine a few in ways I hadn't earlier. I tried to go with my impulses and not overthink where I wanted to place effects and what I wanted them to look like. I also declined them in places where I suppose they could have been used. Bottom line is that I tried to be both uninhibited and still deliberate with them.

I think I went with shippy, but I suppose that's up to who's watching. ;] Not sure it'll make a ton of sense to someone who hasn't watched the show, but that's not really who I was making this for. I'm really hoping the narrative and flashbacks don't get too confusing for someone who has seen it.

Comments, critique, or any Doctor Who love would be very appreciated. :}

Yay, first post with the icon I've been saving for months! Some how even back then I just knew I was going to love him. ::blinks quickly::

Oh, my "bulletproof" kink? The one where someone's death is greatly exaggerated to people they love? This show has killed me. He's dead. But's he's not. But he is. And I *miss* him so much. But I love Ten. He's got a Fighting Hand!

Also, it was very very very hard to not add a title card to very end of the vid that read: "Don't you think Bush looks tired?" ;D
