Dear Festividder...
I am pretty much the worst at LJ right now (with fandom in general coming in a a close second), but let's forget that for a moment. (Or a lot of moments. I could change. Changing is definitely on my to-do list?)
'Cause it's festivids time again, and this year I shouldn't be so crazy busy and will have time to do things like make posts about how much I appreciate the awesome vids that I keep getting lucky enough to get. Did you know I got awesome vids last year? Well I did. There was an amazing and adorable and pretty much perfect Parks & Rec Leslie/Ann vid waiting for me on posting day from nicole_anell, annnnnnd, somehow, I got lucky enough to get a wonderfully crazy Beetlejuice treat vid from fan_eunice. I can't wait to see what wonderful thing someone is inspired to make this year! (Actually I can't wait to see alllll the wonderful things people are inspired to make for everyone, but it's so *cool* when on has my name on it. :DDDD)
Magic Mike - Ok. Technically? I haven't watched this yet. But I am not stupid. I know I need to see it. But if the first time I saw it, it was all extra shiny and vid-magicked? Well. Just imagine me here with giant hearts in my eyes, and you have some idea.
Persuasion (2007) - Another thing I have...not actually watched. But I heard it was awesome, and I like period stuff even if I forget to watch it very much. I also like tricking people into pimping me into things I am already pretty sure I will really enjoy. I mean...encouraging people to share their love of media with the world at large. :D
RPF - Channing Tatum - Why *wouldn't* anyone want this? No, really. Unrelatedly, it's possible that seeing this request on the list led me to theme some of my other requests. Maybe.
She's the Man (2006) - But not this one. Channing would have been an awesome addition to this movie, but what can you do. I am a sucker for girls cross-dressing secretly. And I would love you if reminded me how much by vidding this! (Possibly you could remind me of other things while you were doing it? XDDD)
Step Up - You know what, I don't even need a theme to defend my Channing requests. Just watch this movie and then imagine him playing Gambit. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN AMAZING. If you put in him dancing, I will be happy. Actually I will be way more than happy, but I don't want to scare anyone off.
Superman Movies - So...I made a hard decision. About a month ago, I stopped buying comics for the first time in 17 years. These movies are a big part of why I started buying them (it was alllll Superman back in high school) in the first place. Basically, anything you make from them is going to both inspire and melt me into a big nostalgic puddle. I will be putty in your hands. Srsly.
True Lies - Speaking of nostalgia. I watched this so many time in high school/college/when-lived-at-home. It was one of my dad's go-to middle of the night insomnia movies, and somehow I kept getting sucked in. Baby Eliza Dushku! Amaaaaaaaaaazing Jamie Lee Curtis. And Arnold does alright too. Both of them actually.
Zoolander - Gasoline fight. Owen vs. Ben. I am positive another Zoolander vid in the world could only make it a better place. And there is nothing you could do with it that would make me feel differently. XD
