This is where true freedom lies. The locks imposed by the negative emotions in a post-breakup mind begin to fall away. While the rose glasses lie shattered beside you, the true clarity is what brings you back to try on familiar lenses, or even new lenses entirely. Yes, seeing that things were not as rosy as they appeared on the surface hurts, but it is the sort of pain akin to an injection; painful, but healing.
