So I went down to Portland this weekend to hang out with
karaksindru. We played Brawl most of Saturday, like 7 hours worth. Co-op in the adventure mode is actually kind of a pain, because of how it's implemented. If player one dies with no lives left, you lose, even if player two is still alive. The screen is essentially centered around player one, which can be a problem for player two as, its easy to get caught off screen. Course, being able to instantly port to player one's location is handy, but it's still awkward. The whole thing could probably have been implemented better.
And the final boss is a goddam cocksucker, and even worse when doing it as co-op.
After that, we watched the Simpsons movie, then went out to drink at Old Chicago, and his friend Jake joined us there after a bit. They had a very nice beer selection there. It was good to drink with friends. I wish I could do that more often. The three of us went back to
karaksindru's place and watched The Life Aquatic. I hadn't seen it until then, a very good movie. David Bowie in Portuguese is crazy.
Sunday we played some more Brawl and watched a little Women of Ninja Warrior. The Japanese are crazy.
All in all, it was quite fun. Good to kind of get my mind off things for a little bit.
