So tired.
Ren Faire this past weekend was quite fun. Friday was amusing in the "vaguely amusing but a little annoying at the time, but more amusing after the fact" kind of way. The plan was forkaraksindru &co. to pick me up ~5pm. They didn't actually show up until ~8pm (delays, traffic, and terrible service at a Sherri's is what I'm told). Then, while trying to find the faire with kind of vague directions in the dark at 10pm, we passed it two or three times before finding the correct poorly marked unlit dirt road to turn on to. And then there was setting up the tent in a less-than-optimal spot, in the dark (we probably could have gotten a better spot, had it been earlier, and us been slightly more attentive and less frustrated).
In any case, we managed. Contrary to apparently popular belief, Saturday was quite beautiful. Clear skies and warm weather for most of the day. It did start raining in the evening (~6-7pm), but it really didn't get even particularly bad until after dark.
Saturday evening was a little lame, as karaksindru and Jake decided to go to sleep at around 10:30pm. Briita and I were still quite awake, and bored as hell. Sadly, the Ale house was out of the question, as she's under age. We briefly attempted to find a party she knew of, but gave up when we weren't sure how to get there. So we just ended up going to sleep. So yeah, kinda lame.
Sunday was another story altogether though. It rained through the night and continued for most of Sunday, which was punctuated by alternating bursts of clear skies and vaguely impressive downpour.
I spent entirely too much money over the weekend, picking up some pants, a shirt, a tunic/vest type thing with a hood, a belt, sword, frog for aforementioned sword, and a hat.
