In other news, our cox and coach didn't turn up this morning, so we were really late getting on the river and only got half an hour out. Grrrrrrr! Was v frustrating.
Have first race on Saturday. Eeep! This is very scary, especially because I am stroking. This means I set the rhythm of the boat and thus, to an extent, how fast we go. Even though this is a sprint, this is difficult because if we take the strokes too fast, our technique will go to pot and we won't go anywhere. So somehow we have to find the balance. It would also be nice if we didn't crash the boat and take three feet off the bow (which is what the first men's novice crew did last weekend, reducing Sir Winston Churchill to Sir Winsto). Am going to a guest dinner at Caius on Friday evening, which is v irritating as won't really be able to drink and there is free wine and everything there! Arse.
I did have a bacon butty and an eeenormous scone at about 11 this morning though, which made things a lot better :-)
