Glenton, my fellow PhD student who's just started at the IRC with me, has just commented that I'm already neurotic and jumpy enough without caffiene. Oh well, he's got me sussed then!
In other news, I'm really really hungry because I had breakfast about five hours ago and have been rowing since then and only had a banana to keep me going. Last night, as a result of this whole rowing malarkey, I discovered that circuits really, really hurt. However, there were times when the rowing stuff was quite fun this morning, especially when the boat was balanced so we could actually row and it was all pretty with the sun was rising over the misty fields. All very pastoral really.
I'm not doing very well with doing PhD related work at the moment though. I'm not completely sure what I should be doing and John is being stressed out because of seminars and stuff. And plus I'm doing quite well at being distracted by demonstrating related work and talking to the technicians for hours at a time. Ooops :-) I am trying to read stuff at the moment but it's not very exciting and I want to *do* things. Oh well.
I may be up in Manchester this weekend for throwing people around purposes...
